WHERE IT ALL STARTED!
Chris playing guitar & singing on
a gig at the St-Paul pub with his
first official rock band
THE BY-NO-MEANS (1963)
The band did covers of Manfred
Mann, The Animals, the
Kinks,Them as well as a few of
Chris's own compositions
Marcel Bonin on drums the man lives, eats and dreams
blues he was Chris' drummer in the Mojo Blues Band
Alain Plouffe on drums his the kinda guy that never quits, he's
always drumming no matter where he is and he's still going strong.
Years went by some slow, most fast and Chris started painting
intuitively much like he did when he wrote his songs.
To this day he also creates his visual art much like he did when playing
music. That is through improvisation. What started out as a hobby more
or less, a thing to do between gigs developed into a profession.
The following are paintings he created while he was still a very active
singer/songwriter/musician.
Another one of
his painted
visions
this one was
titled the last
gig.

THE PARTY was inspired by the many parties Chris went to in his heydays

like his all time favorite player Little Walter.

MAIN GROUPS:
The Oven (in the 60s / originals
The Bionic Beatniks (in the 70s /originals
Sticky Fingers (Rolling Stones Tribute band)
Unexpected Guest (80s / originals)
Mojo Blues Band (Blues classics)
Sugar Chris & the King Bees (original blues)Chris
played live music in bars mostly but
also did some stadiums and exterior
festivals .
The stage was his home and this wild cat
sure knew how to get a crowd going.
He did some recordings of course although
he never became recording star, I know he
preferred playing live to smaller audiences to
doing the bigger gigs. He loved the
closeness/intimacy he got with crowds,
playing in bars.
A long time ago Marcel Lorange
became Chris Adams
Chris even blueses it up with fiddle these days
Jamming at Madrigal's in 2005 Serge Grondin
on bass, Jean Milaire - guitar, Serge - guitar &
Chris singing and wailin the harmonica. Guys
who've been doing their thing for a few decades
now. Nobody's getting younger but their music
is as strong as ever and even has more balls.

"My oldest and certainly one of my very best friends
Madrigal's studios owner Mr. Michel Demers (Red).
We've been through so much together, it would
take a couple of thick books to tell it all." - Chris
A painting Chris did in the
seventies. He had dreamed
the electric fiddle would come
into the picture

MY HOW TIME FLIES WHEN YOU'RE HAVING FUN! Chris did enjoy the ride that brought him to the woman he started out wanting to meet and cherish. It took longuer than he expected, it was not always an easy road but deep inside he knew...
Angels followed him closely and when he got to the point of despair and was giving up on life, as it seemed without reason, they stepped in to lead him to the person that had always been there behind all his dreams at the heart of all the things he had ever truly loved. A woman with whom he shared so much. AnnMarie was her name it was a song he would dance to untill forever. AnnMarie had been his reason to move on now she'd be his reason to be. The rainbow appeared just in time and he trusted angels would see them thru the following journey in the Light of Love. Chris aka LorAnge
|
One day Chris started painting when he had time off stage and touring so LorAnge was brought back in ...
Chris the musician and Marcel the LorAnge the painter were one and the same
special woman, the lady that was always
there behind everything I did .
She was queen of my heart and she would
be my reason to be and to go on .I have now
met that one in a lifetime woman.
The smoke dispersed so the dream came
true ...
The music goes on so the song never ends it
merely flows to the beat of passionate hearts
changing colors as it surfs thru time.
When I was a youg lad just starting out I swore
I'd never grow old now I aim to keep my word if it
takes me a hundred years ,,,,
